Senior🎓
Top SchoolJames Phoenix is a Founding Engineer with 10 years’ experience building production AI systems and SaaS platforms that scale—most recently architecting a 350K LOC platform handling 5K daily queries (917 RPS) across OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Vertex AI with headroom to 100K/day. He combines end-to-end ownership—architecture, implementation, deployment and observability—with practical AI engineering: multi-provider LLM orchestration, custom agents, AIMD-style rate control, and 30+ OpenTelemetry metrics driving automated alerts and dashboards. An O’Reilly author and instructor whose prompt-engineering book and Udemy course reached wide audiences, he pairs evangelism and pedagogy with rigorous engineering (factory-first tests, chaos/load suites). Equally comfortable as a solo indie-builder and as a CTO or staff engineer, he brings a marketer’s product sense from prior roles in SEO and analytics, and a demonstrated ability to turn complex distributed AI workloads into reliable, observable services.
