Top SchoolJames Schlackman is a pragmatic technology infrastructure leader with 9+ years in senior IT management and a BSc in Applied Computer Science, currently directing infrastructure and unified communications at GMAC in Washington, D.C. He combines hands-on systems administration with vendor and team leadership, having delivered cloud-ready device management, SSO/MFA rollouts, and robust inventory and DR practices within his first 100 days. James excels at translating operational pain points into preemptive, auditable solutions—whether guiding SOC 2/HITRUST readiness, migrating complex on-prem environments to cloud-managed platforms, or running hybrid-join and Intune projects. Comfortable in both education and enterprise settings, he prefers leading by example and developing practical skills in teams rather than chasing certifications. An early career background in firmware testing and C development gives him unexpected depth in low-level systems and quality assurance that informs his infrastructure decisions.
