Senior🎓
Top SchoolJames Stanier is a seasoned technology leader and current CTO for Veterinary at Nordhealth with 12 years of engineering leadership experience spanning startups to public companies. He scaled Brandwatch from seed to a $450M acquisition and later led large engineering organizations at Shopify, proving skill in assembling and steering teams of hundreds toward strategic priorities. A PhD in compilers informs his technical depth, while his authorship of three books and a monthly newsletter show a commitment to sharing insights on management and remote work. He advises industry events like LeadDev and has a knack for translating academic rigor into practical, high-impact engineering practices across product, org design, and delivery. An atypical detail: his early editorial work rebranding ACM’s student magazine with Pentagram hints at a long-standing interest in marrying technical content with clear communication.
