Top SchoolJames Tam is a Principal Software Engineer based in Los Angeles with eight years of experience building and supporting large-scale, mission-critical systems for aerospace and defense. He specializes in middleware and distributed simulation connectivity, telemetry collection and processing, and automation frameworks using Python, C++, and a mix of web and scripting technologies. At Northrop Grumman and Boeing he has delivered multi-threaded server-client telemetry systems, test automation for subsystem interface testing, and features that supported satellite operations and mission planning. Comfortable across the stack—from low-level TCP/UDP middleware to Angular/Electron front ends—he combines pragmatic engineering with a focus on reliability in complex, real-time environments. An early background in immersive visualization and full-stack web projects gives him an unusual blend of systems-level rigor and UI/automation fluency.
