Top SchoolJames Thomson is a Principal Engineer with a decade of experience building front-end focused and full-stack systems, currently taking a development break until December while leading engineering at DashFox. He has deep hands-on expertise across React, Ember, Angular, Vue and Ruby on Rails, and a strong background in cloud-native tooling from roles at VMware and Pivotal working on Concourse CI, Kubernetes, BOSH and Go-based services. James combines front-end craftsmanship with systems engineering—having led interoperability and automation testing for Pivotal Cloud Foundry and contributed to OSS projects—while volunteering long-term as a web developer for the Vietnam Education Society. Based in Old Toronto and trained in computer engineering at Waterloo, he blends pragmatic product delivery with curiosity (his GitHub quip “it's my first day” belies a patient, experimental approach to learning).
