Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJames Tiovalen is an Infrastructure Engineer with seven years' experience designing and operating high-availability enterprise networks, currently helping scale Meta's APAC corporate network and automation tooling. He brings deep embedded and systems expertise from HPE Aruba, where he led chassis and platform bring-up, debugging kernel and driver-level issues and shipping firmware-grade infrastructure for large hardware rollouts. Comfortable across C/C++, Go, Python and modern web stacks (React, JavaScript, PHP/Hack), he blends low-level reliability work with user-facing automation and UI tooling. At Singtel he delivered automation that cut manual interventions by 80% and contributed upstream Ansible improvements, demonstrating a focus on measurable operational maturity. A former robotics club VP and teaching assistant, he pairs systems rigor with a knack for mentoring and building community-driven projects. Outside work he describes technology as magic and pursues “bitmancy” and deep lore, hinting at a curiosity-driven approach to reverse-engineering complex systems.
