James Tiplady
Full Stack Web Developer
UK, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorJames Tiplady is a London-based freelance web developer with 12 years' experience building tidy, maintainable websites, e-commerce stores and web apps using Django, Craft CMS, Shopify, Sanity and React. After six years in agencies including POKE, he now focuses on pragmatic, user-centred solutions that prioritise performance and accessibility while avoiding needless complexity. He regularly works with digital agencies, small businesses and startups, preferring remote engagements but available for on-site work in central London. Known for attention to detail and clean maintainable code, he pairs full‑stack chops with a practical mindset shaped by agency delivery rhythms. Off hours he balances code with life as an occasional bike messenger, a small but telling example of his preference for hands-on, efficient problem solving.
