Top SchoolJames Vomero is an engineering manager with eight years of software experience who builds scalable web platforms and leads cross-functional teams to deliver SaaS and publishing products. At Four Kitchens he translated product vision into a three-year roadmap, defining 50+ epics and 800+ stories to guide engineering, design, and UX workstreams while managing hiring, evaluations, and development paths. He’s hands-on technically, having architected Drupal, Symfony, React, and serverless solutions that reduced publishing workflows from weeks to minutes and improved web performance at Penn State. James also brings entrepreneurial and educational depth as the founder of an outdoor recreation company that blends technology with curriculum design and as a university lecturer teaching telecommunications and CS fundamentals. Known for clear process thinking, he pairs backlog-driven delivery with mentorship and measurable operational improvements like faster time-to-first-paint and mature CI/CD and monitoring practices. Based in State College, PA, he combines product-minded engineering leadership with a practical, community-focused approach to building teams and experiences.
