Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJan Harrie is a Security Engineer based in Hamburg with a decade of hands-on experience in offensive and defensive security across consulting and product environments. He currently works at HashiCorp while running freelance security consulting, bringing practical expertise in penetration testing, risk assessments, secure development, and workshops from prior roles at ERNW and NSIDE Attack Logic. His background spans applied research (secure Android apps), enterprise banking systems, and Java software engineering, giving him a rare blend of academic rigor and commercial delivery. Jan is comfortable moving between blue-team risk assessments and red-team engagements, and he frequently translates complex technical findings into actionable remediation for stakeholders. Colleagues value his mix of deep technical craft and client-facing clarity, plus a track record of building security programs rather than just one-off reports. Based in Germany with an MS in IT Security, he tends to favor pragmatic, repeatable controls informed by hands-on attack analysis.
