Summary
👤
SeniorJan Hlaváč is a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer based in Prague with eight years of focused experience and a broader history in enterprise development dating back to 2006. He combines frontend expertise in Vue and React (with practical knowledge of Angular and jQuery) with a strong Java/Java EE backend foundation—typically Spring/Spring Boot—and hands-on database work in Oracle and PostgreSQL, including PL/SQL. Jan has production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD and has filled delivery roles from developer to Scrum Master and Product Owner, plus a stint as CTO and co-founder of a cloud startup. He prefers pragmatic solutions, sometimes choosing stored procedures over application code when it simplifies the architecture. Currently contributing to Bankovní identita as a senior engineer, he values agile collaboration and staying locally rooted in Prague for family reasons. His blend of legacy-system know-how and modern cloud-native practices makes him adept at bridging old and new tech stacks in real projects.
