Top SchoolJan-michael Kho is a Senior Staff Engineer with nine years of recent experience and a decades-long career designing high-performance C/C++ embedded software and software/hardware integration for network test systems. Based in Los Angeles, he has driven platform infrastructure and firmware improvements that reduced hardware startup time, improved interoperability with third-party transceivers, and contributed to revenue-critical 400Gb Ethernet products. At Spirent he led small technical teams across kernel drivers, hardware abstraction, and TCP/IP stacks and holds a US patent for device-bound test data streaming. He blends hands-on low-level engineering with cloud and web application work—having helped deliver SaaS-enabled virtual infrastructure testing and load-replay tooling. Known for optimizing line-rate traffic engines and pragmatic technical leadership, he thrives where firmware, Linux, and network protocols intersect.
