👤
SeniorJan Van Deursen is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of experience focused on front-end engineering, accessibility, performance and pragmatic progressive enhancement. He has delivered public-facing, multi-language and white-label web applications for organizations like the University of Amsterdam, City of Amsterdam, Royal Schiphol Group and NOS, often solving tricky faults such as CQRS-backed frontends with resilient GraphQL caching. Jan combines hands-on React expertise and interaction design sensibilities with practical DevOps and team leadership experience from roles as tech lead and owner of JJVD.net. Based in Enkhuizen, he prefers freelance work and brings a developer-first toolkit (VSCode, Vim) and a quiet obsession for continuous quality improvement that shows up in end-to-end testing, accessibility integrations and documentation.
