Top SchoolJan Vanbuel is a data and engineering leader with a PhD in Physics and a decade of experience translating complex scientific problems into production-ready data solutions. As Lead Data Engineer and now Head of Dataminded Academy, he combines hands-on programming (Python, MATLAB, Bash) with pedagogy to upskill teams and bridge the gap between research and industry. His doctoral work on nano-structured materials honed an experimental-plus-computational approach that he leverages to extract insight from large, noisy datasets. Comfortable in both research and commercial environments, he is actively transitioning academia-honed rigor into scalable industry practices and is open to relocation. He is known for mentoring technical talent and building practical training programs that accelerate data literacy across organizations.
