Top SchoolJanet Chapman is a civic-minded education and international development leader with over a decade of experience designing ICT-driven learning initiatives and grassroots development projects. As founder of Crowd2Map and chair of both The Hackney Society and the Tanzania Development Trust, she blends technology, volunteer mobilization and governance to deliver practical impact—from offline Raspberry Pi content in schools to mapping rural Tanzania to protect girls from FGM. Her background as a head of e-learning and teacher gives her deep operational insight into embedding digital tools in classrooms and communities. She is skilled at campaign management, event production and cross-cultural partnerships, having taken initiatives to international stages such as a UN-linked mapathon. Based in Hackney, London, she brings a rare combination of hands-on education practice, tech-savvy solutions and long-term strategic stewardship. An avid volunteer and connector, she leverages open tools and community mapping to turn data into local protection and learning resources.
