Top SchoolJano González is a seasoned Staff Software Engineer based in Berlin with over 15 years of hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems for music, commerce, and content platforms. He has driven multi-region Kubernetes fleets of ~15K nodes at Shopify, safely rolled out internal AI developer tools to 5K+ users at Spotify, and led API and infrastructure changes that enabled safe, high-scale launches at Contentful and SoundCloud. Comfortable both as an individual contributor and a technical leader, he has a track record of reducing toil and lead times through self-service tooling, improving resource utilization by up to 75%, and coordinating cross-team migrations from monoliths to microservices. Jano blends deep systems and cloud expertise (Kubernetes, Scala, Ruby, AWS) with an operational mindset that prioritizes safe rollouts and measurable developer productivity gains. He’s currently open to senior or staff engineering roles in Málaga or elsewhere in Spain, bringing pragmatic scaling experience and a history of mentoring and aligning multiple teams during complex transitions.
