Top SchoolJared Banyard is a seasoned mobile and embedded engineer with over a decade of focused experience building Android apps and real-time embedded systems, and two decades working professionally across firmware and mobile domains. As owner of TachyonDev and a former staff/principal engineer, he has led rapid telehealth rollouts, migrated legacy Rx architectures to coroutines and Jetpack Compose, and delivered audio-specialized Android solutions including a commercial Virtual DJ Turntable app. He’s comfortable as a sole developer or as a team lead, having managed cross-platform teams, offshore contractors, and delivered critical systems for aerospace and healthcare under tight schedules. Based in the Greater Seattle Area, Jared blends low-level embedded control expertise from defense projects with modern Android tooling and performance optimizations, making him adept at solving hard integration and audio/real-time challenges. An understated strength is his history of rescuing and modernizing struggling mobile codebases while shipping production-grade user experiences.
