Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolJared Perkins is a robotics software engineer with 9 years of experience specializing in turning brittle perception and deployment workflows into fast, observable, repeatable systems. At Plus One Robotics he led architecture and product roadmaps, halving deployment time from hours to minutes, introduced deterministic replay tooling that became core infrastructure, and drove sensor upgrades that doubled effective depth resolution. He’s fluent in ROS1/ROS2, multi-threaded C++, CI-driven delivery, and visualization toolchains, and favors making debugging observable and recovery deterministic. Jared excels at absorbing new domains under pressure—recently owning ROS2 pivots and sensor qualification paths—and is actively leveling up in networking, CAN/firmware, and CUDA acceleration. Based in San Antonio, he bridges prototype to production with disciplined engineering and a knack for quietly removing waste while leaving lasting tooling.
