Summary
👤
SeniorJason Child is a Network Engineer with 11 years of hands-on IT experience, currently building resilient networks at Paragon Medical in Simsbury, CT. He began as an IT intern and quickly progressed to project lead and field systems engineer by automating manual processes with PowerShell, ConnectWise Automate, and SQL-driven workflows. That automation background informs his networking work today—routing, firewalls, switches, and VLANs—while his recent focus has shifted toward cybersecurity after leading incident recovery efforts. He brings practical expertise in patch management, vulnerability scanning, and network segmentation paired with a knack for translating operational pain points into repeatable solutions. A BS in Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Technology underpins his systematic troubleshooting approach and curiosity for new tools. Colleagues rely on him for steady execution and continuous learning rather than showy answers on day one.
