Summary
👤
SeniorJason Dickerson is a Communications Infrastructure Consultant and Project Manager with nine years in his current role at Carnegie Mellon University and a broader trades background dating back to an IBEW five-year electrical apprenticeship. A BICSI RCDD who began as a commercial electrician, he designs and delivers campus and data center cabling systems, manages contractor procurement and installs, and coordinates emergency repairs and Wi‑Fi upgrades. He combines hands-on field experience—having supervised complex hospital and downtown commercial installations—with project-level skills in scope writing, inspection, and payment approval. Recently certified in Wi‑Fi design (CWNA, CWDP, Ekahau ECSE), he leverages predictive tools like Ekahau and hardware such as the NetScout AirCheck G2 to optimize enterprise and campus wireless. Based in Pittsburgh, he’s fluent in planning projects that intersect electrical and communications disciplines, making him particularly effective on hybrid infrastructure jobs that require both trades insight and formal design expertise.
