Jason Ellison
Alabama, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorJason Ellison is a Senior Systems Engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience designing, securing, and automating complex Linux, Windows, and Cisco environments. He has operated at both operator and leadership levels—running global AIS data systems at ShipTracks, acting as CTO for industrial VoIP and PLC network projects, and now delivering systems engineering at JMF Solutions. Jason blends network architecture, embedded and industrial wireless expertise with pragmatic DevOps automation (Puppet, Ansible, Expect) and a track record of building monitoring and SIEM-driven operations. He’s published Nagios plugins and tooling used worldwide and has repeatedly turned bespoke operational challenges into repeatable, automated solutions. Based in Alabama, he’s equally comfortable debugging low-latency industrial Ethernet for manufacturing as he is tuning distributed server monitoring for cloud-hosted services.
