Seattle, Washington, United States
Summary
🤩
RockstarJason Fischer is a Staff Software Developer with 12+ years building high-performance, horizontally scalable services and data-driven systems, currently driving backend and middle-tier engineering at BECU in Seattle. He led design and implementation of the Guild Wars 2 in-game economy—owning database schema, SPROCs, service and protocol architecture—and has strong specialties in C++, C#, and T-SQL. Comfortable across the stack, Jason combines rigorous service design, idempotent inter-system communication, and automated deployment experience with a passion for making reliable systems that improve member or player experiences. An active full-stack open-source contributor, he has extended a customizable Docker-friendly homepage with integrations into media services and home-server tooling, reflecting practical curiosity for real-world integrations. Notably, his background spans both enterprise financial systems and large-scale gaming infrastructure, giving him a rare blend of transactional correctness and low-latency distributed systems expertise.
