Summary
👤
SeniorJason Gullickson is a Senior Software Engineer II with 11 years of recent focused experience and over two decades in software and data engineering, currently building products at Optro after roles at Vercel and American Family Insurance. He moves fluidly between data and application domains—having been a data engineer, iOS developer, and chief engineer—bringing pragmatic systems design to customer-facing features. Based in Wisconsin, he combines startup scrappiness ("one-man skunkworks") with enterprise-grade delivery, shipping resilient solutions from prototype to production. Notably, his career blends hands-on engineering at small teams and scale-oriented work at platform companies, making him adept at turning ambiguous problems into operational systems.
