Top SchoolJason Heffner is a Penn State Computer Science graduate who blends systems-focused software development and cybersecurity knowledge with hands-on heavy equipment operation experience. With projects ranging from memory allocators and scheduler simulations to recovering AES keys in Python and building a 5G transmitter in MATLAB, he gravitates toward low-level, performance-sensitive and security-minded engineering. Though early in his software career, his 12 years of varied work experience—spanning delivery driving, hospitality, and construction—gives him practical discipline and an ability to adapt to fast-changing, real-world constraints. He’s comfortable debugging TypeScript apps and prototyping systems tools, and enjoys connecting on projects that intersect embedded systems, networking, and applied cryptography. Based in Lynn Township, PA, Jason brings a curious, hands-on approach that pairs academic rigor with blue-collar problem solving.
