Top SchoolJason Schleifer is a creative technology leader and director with 25+ years influencing character animation, pipeline tooling, and studio strategy across DreamWorks, Weta, Nimble Collective (acquired by AWS), and AWS itself. As a co-founder and head of creator success at Nimble he blended empathy-driven support with technical problem-solving to help studios produce standout animated content at scale. He combines deep hands-on expertise in animation, character rigging, and pipeline development with leadership roles as Chief Creative Officer and Creative Director, mentoring artists globally. A member of the Academy’s Short Films and Feature Animation branch, he moves fluidly between creative direction and engineering pragmatism. Based in Wellington, New Zealand, Jason is as comfortable diving into rigging details as he is designing studio-wide workflows and has a knack for making complex pipelines feel playful and productive.
