Summary
🤩
RockstarJasper Smet is a freelance full-stack developer with 12+ years building robust, framework-driven PHP applications and a long history with CakePHP and Drupal across multiple major versions. He focuses on reliability and efficiency, championing test-driven development, SOLID architecture, strict coding standards, and automation that turns manual marketing workflows into scalable processes. Comfortable across the full stack—from SQL and Unix-based infrastructures to modern frontends—he also implements DevOps practices using Docker, nginx, and high-performance stacks. An active contributor to CakePHP and Drupal communities, Jasper brings uncommon depth in legacy-to-modern PHP migrations (PHP 4→8) and architecture hardening for long-lived projects. Based in Oudenaarde, Belgium, he combines freelance agility with seasoned senior-in-house experience, including co-founding a startup and delivering translation and media platforms.
