Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJavier Polo is a pragmatic Lead/Staff Software Engineer with 13 years of experience building resilient, production-grade systems across fintech, identity platforms, and large enterprises. He favors simple, clean code and applies TDD, DDD and Software Crafter principles to design maintainable architectures using JVM technologies (Kotlin/Java/Groovy), Kafka, Postgres and cloud-friendly tooling. Javier has hands-on experience scaling teams and hiring while balancing being a doer and an enabling manager, having led engineering at Zopa and Auth0 before his current role. Comfortable in both greenfield and legacy contexts, he pairs domain-driven thinking with lean and XP practices to drive outcomes rather than output. Based in Spain, he’s an avid reader, conference attendee and meetup contributor who enjoys mentoring through pair programming and coaching to lift whole teams.
