Javier Valderrama is a Principal Development Consultant and global Frontend Community Lead at Endava with 11 years of professional experience and a 25+ year passion for software and frontend craftsmanship. He specializes in JavaScript ecosystems, frontend architecture, and technical strategy, leading cross-team mentoring, training and large-scale legacy migration efforts for clients like Lululemon and Tableau. Javier is known for reducing knowledge silos and improving bus-factor resilience by designing iterative migration processes that preserve backwards compatibility while raising test coverage and modularity. He has a strong track record building developer-friendly frameworks and web data connector architectures, and regularly speaks and mentors at industry conferences and hackathons. Based in Rosario, Argentina, he combines hands-on coding with people leadership and an educator’s drive—equally at home delivering production code, training developers, or designing scalable frontend standards. An uncommon detail: his academic background in music informs a systems-thinking approach to rhythm, modularity and collaboration in engineering teams.

The intention of this road map is to share with you our own learning experience (one of many paths you can take to grok the language) and to draw you to the highest quality information (which we won't be ever able to write in a better way)  keeping you on the implementation agnostic spirit of the language, providing abstract examples as well as practical exercises in different languages so you can understand the correlations and differences without losing focus on the main topic: GraphQL. We'll walk through this starting from the language and the API definition on the backend, gradually increasing the complexity as the walk develop; it might contain new examples on the future, or more "days" including client-side, testing or architecture specific topic, or we might create another walk for them, we don't really know.
