Senior🎓
Top SchoolJay Bendon is a pragmatic software engineer with 12 years of experience building and operating large-scale infrastructure and backend systems, currently focused on Java and Python. He has progressed from datacenter technician roles at Google to principal engineering and infrastructure leadership at companies like Clari and Amplitude, where he led reliability, scaling, and automation efforts. Jay is equally comfortable across the full stack and enjoys reverse engineering systems—he’s been known to dive into memory and config details to diagnose and reconstitute complex failures. He’s shipped production services, deployment tooling, and self-healing infrastructure (including Saltstack, Kubernetes migrations, and Go-based agents) and has a track record of driving SOC2 and reliability programs. Outside of work he keeps sharp with side projects in TypeScript, Rust, C#, and JavaScript, and treats languages as tools chosen to solve the problem at hand. Based in Roseville, CA, he combines hands-on troubleshooting instincts with experience scaling teams and systems.
