Top SchoolJay Gheewala is a Principal Cloud Engineer with a decade of experience building high-scale, cloud-native systems using Go, gRPC/REST, Kubernetes, and distributed caches like Redis. He has progressed from embedded/EDA tooling and network-focused roles at Cisco and Mentor Graphics to senior platform and observability engineering at SignalFx and Splunk, now driving cloud architecture at OpsRamp. Jay specializes in high-throughput data ingestion and microservices RPC patterns, pairing algorithmic thinking with pragmatic system design to optimize performance and reliability. He brings hands-on experience across the full stack of infrastructure — from L2 switch software and NetFPGA research to modern container orchestration and service meshes. Based in New Jersey, he combines production-grade engineering rigor with a background in both telecom RF optimization and academic research, which informs a measured approach to scaling complex systems.
