Senior🎓
Top SchoolJay Hilden is a senior engineering leader and technical lead at Amazon with 11 years of experience building large-scale, real-time distributed systems that track millions of assets and process thousands of transactions per second. He translates ambiguous technical problems into measurable business outcomes—driving a 98%+ reduction in asset theft, unifying fragmented legacy systems, and unlocking new revenue while cutting operational cost. Comfortable operating end-to-end from architecture to production, he blends hands-on engineering with cross-organizational strategy to create platforms that scale technically and organizationally. He actively leverages AI to accelerate system understanding, modernize legacy codebases, and boost engineering productivity. Based in Minneapolis, he pairs a Computer Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota with a bias for leadership and ownership—“never wait to be told what to do”—and has a track record of aligning teams to reduce duplicated effort.
