Senior🎓
Top SchoolJay Joo is a software engineer with eight years of product-focused experience, currently building at Palantir and previously interning at HubSpot and Akuna Capital. He founded and led Cornell webdev, growing a student-run org to 70 active members and over 20,000 users across seven web apps, and earlier built Cornlet — a solo-built sublet marketplace that reached 12,000 users and 1,300 listings. His preferred stack is TypeScript, React, Redux, Node, Express, and MongoDB, and he repeatedly ships full-stack, user-facing systems from prototype to production. Comfortable in both startup and large-engineering environments, he pairs frontend polish with backend reliability and data-driven product decisions. Based in New York and educated at Cornell, Jay brings entrepreneurial instincts and a track record of shipping high-usage consumer web platforms while still a student. An unusual strength: he has scaled multiple campus-focused products to tens of thousands of users largely through solo or small-team execution.
