Top SchoolJay Torasakar is a software engineer with a decade of experience building and operating cloud-native microservices, currently at Microsoft after several years at Cisco. He specializes in Go-driven distributed systems with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and observability stacks like Kibana and Grafana, and pairs that backend expertise with Python and ML model work. Jay has a strong practical grounding in deploying resilient services and automating operations via Bash and PowerShell scripts, and he’s comfortable shaping APIs (REST/GraphQL) and data stores such as MongoDB. His background includes research during an MS at Stony Brook and hands-on engineering internships where he merged data visualization (D3) with schema mapping for complex financial datasets. Colleagues would describe him as methodical and eager to adopt new patterns—he actively translates emerging trends into production-ready solutions. Based in the United States, he brings both academic rigor and enterprise-scale delivery experience to cross-functional teams.
