Top SchoolJay Warfield is a Cloud Architect and seasoned software engineer with over 8 years focused on GenAI cloud solutions, container platforms, and virtual private cloud architectures. Based in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, he brings deep IBM experience designing standards, tooling, and developer-facing observability libraries that accelerate architect productivity (including ibmdiagrams and a Schematics/Terraform codepattern). He has a long history of shipping automation for infrastructure and application provisioning across OpenStack, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and bare-metal environments, and coauthored Terraform best-practice guidance for IBM Cloud. Jay’s background spans decades of product engineering—from media and language tooling to mobile and WebSphere integrations—reflecting a rare combination of systems-level thinking and practical delivery. He’s recognized for technical leadership and multiple Outstanding Technical Achievement awards, and he prefers solving architect challenges by codifying diagrams, standards, and repeatable patterns that reduce onboarding time.
