Top SchoolJaydeep Thik is a Machine Learning Engineer with 8 years of experience building production ML systems, currently improving ETA models at DoorDash after driving materials informatics and automated data-extraction research at Toyota Research Institute. He blends deep learning, LLMs, RAG, computer vision and scalable data stacks (Databricks, Snowflake, Ray, Dagster) to move research into production, and has hands-on experience with FAISS and DeepSpeed for retrieval and large-model workflows. His projects include a fully automated figure digitization engine that processed 6,000+ PDFs and novel metrics for digitization quality, plus work on sequence-of-operations understanding for materials synthesis. Comfortable across Python, C/C++, SQL and PyTorch/TensorFlow, he also explores quantum computing and transfer learning for tabular battery design, signaling a curiosity for foundational advances beyond applied ML.
