Senior🎓
Top SchoolJean Blanchette is a Front End Development Lead with 11 years of experience building robust, enterprise web experiences from Toronto. He combines deep front-end expertise in TypeScript, React and modern JS tooling with hands-on AWS/Serverless back-end work to deliver full-stack solutions and measurable performance improvements. At The Globe and Mail he led component library development, paid-content systems, client-side header bidding, and significant site startup optimizations. He’s comfortable bridging engineering, UX, and data teams—having implemented personalization APIs, A/B tests, and editorial tooling like PageBuilder integrations. A pragmatic mentor and former interviewer, he also brings legacy-modernization experience (Webpack upgrades, Docker migrations) and a history of accessibility and theming work across large-scale projects. Outside the obvious, Jean has repeatedly improved developer workflows and deployment pipelines to speed delivery while keeping sites resilient under heavy editorial use.
