Top SchoolJean-charles Quillet is a senior software engineer with two decades of experience building backend systems, network servers, and simulation software, currently based in the Greater Rennes area. He combines deep C++ expertise with functional programming in Haskell and growing Rust experience to design high-performance, safe, and maintainable systems. His background spans defense and scientific projects, cloud-based network security for SASE, and IoT backends connecting over 300k devices, where he improved observability and throughput in production. A pragmatic architect and hands-on contributor, he has led fixed-price deliveries for clients like the French MoD and CNES while collaborating directly with researchers to translate domain requirements into robust software. Actively involved in open source as both contributor and maintainer, he pairs production on-call experience with a long-running interest in correctness and performance.
