Top SchoolJean-François Gigand is a founder and geospatial engineer with 15+ years building web cartography platforms that embed scientific indicators, multi-scale modeling and decision-support for climate risk. He founded Géonef in 2012 and now leads CLIMAE, architecting systems that map asset exposure, model physical vulnerabilities and quantify technical and economic impacts to inform adaptation and financial decision-making. A practiced educator, he teaches SIG–BIM integration and geospatial architectures at École des Ponts, Université Gustave Eiffel and ENSG, bridging academic methods with operational tools. His background ranges from award-winning territorial atlases to production geocoding services, reflecting a rare blend of spatial data engineering, platform design and public-sector engagement. Based in Paris, he pairs entrepreneurial product delivery with hands-on technical direction of complex spatial databases and modeling pipelines.
