Senior🎓
Top SchoolJean-Michel Lacroix is a Senior Full‑stack Ruby on Rails developer and founder with 20+ years of engineering experience building SaaS products, web platforms and cloud services from prototype to production. He combines hands-on backend expertise (Rails, PostgreSQL, Redis) with front-end and UX sensibility, having shipped customer-facing products like Capian and DexoryView while also consulting on UX strategy. Comfortable as a generalist, he has led teams, defined architectures for APIs and high‑scale systems (Kafka, Docker) and even contributed network-monitoring tooling to the OpenWrt ecosystem. His background spans R&D at Ubisoft—where his cloud work contributed to a patented distributed computing solution—to bootstrapping startups, showing both deep systems knowledge and product instincts. Based in Quebec, he pairs an entrepreneurial mindset with strong customer empathy and a long-running “computer geek since 1974” curiosity that drives continual learning and pragmatic problem solving.
