Top SchoolJean-nicolas Brunet is a Software Architect with 11 years of experience blending academic rigor and industrial delivery in real-time simulation and high-performance C++ systems. He holds a Marie-Curie funded PhD from the University of Strasbourg and has driven research-to-product transitions at Inria, notably bringing non-linear finite elements and hyperelastic models into the open-source SOFA ecosystem via the caribou project. At OPAL-RT he progressed from Senior C++ Developer to Product Owner for HYPERSIM and now leads architecture work, applying simulation research to commercial real-time platforms. His strengths lie in combining meshless and immersed boundary methods with GPU-aware, parallel implementations to achieve near-real-time biomechanical simulations. Comfortable leading teams and shipping production software, he also bridges medical research and industry workflows—translating patient-specific modeling advances into deployable tools. Based in Montreal, he pairs deep numerical methods expertise with a pragmatic focus on maintainable, modern C++ engineering.
