Senior🎓
Top SchoolJeff Ford is a software engineer with 12 years of engineering experience who transitioned from acoustical and mechanical engineering into software development and now works at Google. He brings deep domain expertise in noise and vibration measurement, 3D acoustic modeling, and technical reporting from his years at Phoenix Noise & Vibration, coupled with practical CAD and research experience earlier in his career. At Google he applies an engineer’s instincts for measurement-driven problem solving to software systems, blending analytical rigor with pragmatic implementation. Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, he leverages a Mechanical Engineering B.S. from the University of Maryland College Park to bridge physical-system modeling and software design. He’s comfortable consulting with clients and cross-functional teams to turn complex requirements into working solutions, a skill that informs his collaborative approach to product engineering. Notably, his background in precise field measurement and modeling gives him an uncommon perspective on observability and instrumentation in software.
