Summary
🤩
RockstarJeff Robertson is a SecOps engineer in Huntsville, Ontario with 11 years of experience spanning full-stack development, IT support, system administration, and network engineering. He leverages deep, cross-domain knowledge—Python, JavaScript, Linux, PostgreSQL, containers, and telecom APIs—to translate security needs into practical, business-facing solutions. At ion8 he has driven containerization and predictable integration testing, built SaaS telephony integrations, and implemented financial metrics to improve operational visibility. His background in on-site network design, packet capture troubleshooting, and spectrum analysis gives him a hands-on edge when hardening infrastructure. Colleagues benefit from his ability to bridge developer workflows and operational security, while clients appreciate explanations in plain language. Outside work he balances technical rigor with creativity through hiking, photography, disc golf, and performing on flute and double bass.
