Top SchoolJeffrey Blagdon is a Head of iOS Engineering with 12 years of multidisciplinary experience blending journalism, economics, and software development to lead product-focused mobile teams remotely from Halifax. He has progressed from reporter and economist roles into senior engineering and leadership positions at consumer-focused companies like 1 Second Everyday and GameChanger, shipping polished iOS experiences and mentoring cross-functional teams. Equally comfortable in hands-on coding and strategic planning, he brings a quantitative, linguistic mindset—he jokes that his favorite color is math—that helps him distill complex requirements into elegant mobile interactions. A Recurse Center alumnus with an M.A. in Applied Economics, Jeffrey combines empirical thinking with craft-driven engineering to prioritize measurable user outcomes.
