Senior🎓
Top SchoolJeffrey Shek is a VP of Engineering based in New York with 11 years of experience building Python-driven, distributed web and enterprise systems and a decade-plus track record in delivering reliable APIs, ETL pipelines, and production ML/analytics infrastructure. He has progressed from quantitative market-data roles into engineering leadership, hiring and mentoring teams, architecting fault-tolerant ETL (1000+ tx/s) and scalable Django services for startups and institutional clients. As a founder of a technical consultancy and former senior lead at companies like Capsule and YCharts, he blends hands-on coding (TensorFlow, Keras, pandas, NumPy) with product-minded architecture and DevOps best practices. Known for refactoring legacy systems into maintainable platforms, he also drives processes around hiring and onboarding to scale engineering organizations. Not immediately obvious from his title, he brings quantitative finance experience and production analytics tooling to bridge data science and engineering effectively.
