Jelle Bootsma is a pragmatic software engineer and technical lead with eight years’ experience building resilient web and B2B systems, currently working at ASML after leading development at Author-e. He specializes in modern C#/.NET architectures, Blazor PWAs and secure authentication integrations, having rebuilt an LMS and delivered automated contract generation with digital signature workflows. Comfortable managing teams of 5–7 and running projects with Scrum (PSM I), he combines hands-on coding with architecture and product-minded delivery. An early achiever in computer science—Olympiads, UvA summer school and a strong TU/e BSc—he has also mentored many interns, bridging academia and industry. Based in North Brabant, he brings a practical mindset reflected in his Dutch GitHub motto Met tegenwind kan je opkruisen (you can tack into headwind), signaling persistence in complex projects. Outside work he channels strategy and community through board gaming and remains an avid, if time-constrained, sailor.

Scroom is a generic viewer for viewing 2D data. Plugins can be added easily to support new file formats. Currently, there only is a plugin available for viewing large TIFF files (tested up to 60 gigapixel, 1bpp), so it is also fair to say that Scroom is a viewer for large TIFF files.
