Top SchoolJennifer Schmidt is a Library Systems Administrator with over a decade of experience designing, implementing, and supporting integrated library systems for public library consortia in Milwaukee. She manages shared bibliographic and patron databases, public catalogs and mobile apps, and integrates core automation platforms with third-party eResource vendors like OverDrive and hoopla. Comfortable bridging technical and public services, she trains staff, leads strategic planning, and oversees upgrades and maintenance to keep services reliable and current. Technically adept with HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, SQL, MarcEdit and WordPress, she pairs hands-on tooling skills with a strong MLIS foundation and a track record of building collaborative workflows across multiple member libraries. An uncommon strength is her long history of consortium leadership—running training programs, producing web-based tutorials, and supervising system migrations—that helps small libraries scale services without large IT budgets.
