Top SchoolJens Kwasniok is a PhD candidate and research assistant at DESY with 11 years of experience blending physics, formal logic, and software development. He holds an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Hamburg and has applied machine learning to photoinjector modeling for the XFEL, alongside roles in software testing and mathematical web visualizations. Known for probing how and why systems work, he moves fluidly between low-level technical detail and high-level abstractions, often chasing latent symmetries in data and models. Based in Hamburg, he brings rigorous mathematical thinking to practical engineering problems and a demonstrated ability to translate research insights into reproducible software and quality-assured systems.
