Summary
Jeremiah Chung is a linguist, translation consultant and coach with over two decades of field experience across the South Pacific and Asia, now studying part-time for an M.Theol at CUHK. He holds a DMin in Bible Translation, is a SIL-certified Senior Translation Consultant, and authored The Merei Descriptive Grammar while coauthoring work on engaging the Chinese diaspora in Bible translation. Jeremiah has designed and advised technology-informed translation projects (alltheword.org) and led mother-tongue translation teams that produced a Merei New Testament. Since 2017 he has pivoted toward coaching and multidisciplinary collaboration, offering services in English, Mandarin and Cantonese to individuals, groups and institutions. Educated across Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and the U.S., he blends academic rigor with hands-on, cross-cultural program leadership. Less obvious: his practice intentionally combines language technology, community engagement and lay participation to re-engineer how translation work is done.
