Senior🎓
Top SchoolJernej Makovsek is a Senior Software Engineer and seasoned technical leader with 11 years building high-performance systems for FinTech and crypto, including CTO and lead architect roles. He combines hands-on expertise in Python, Rust and C++ with deep experience in low-latency trading, real-time data pipelines, CEP systems and ML-driven time-series research that directly impact PnL. Jernej has architected and productionized TB-scale research and ETL infrastructure, reverse-engineered binary market feeds and implemented HFT execution stacks across chains and venues. He’s also delivered large-scale QA automation for Google projects and led exchange design and compliance work (MTF/PciDSS/MiFID2) for crypto platforms. Based in Slovenia, he blends R&D curiosity with pragmatic delivery—often iterating with quants to benchmark strategies and squeeze latency out of both software and infrastructure.
