👤
SeniorJeroen Ticheler is a seasoned geospatial software entrepreneur and open source leader with over two decades of experience building Spatial Data Infrastructures and web GIS solutions. He combines technical depth in GIS, remote sensing and SDI with product delivery—creating tools like GeoCat Bridge that simplify INSPIRE-compliant publishing from desktop GIS. A long-time OSGeo director and charter member, he blends community stewardship with commercial sustainability for FOSS geospatial projects. Raised partly in West Africa and trained in Tropical Forestry at Wageningen, he brings a practical, development-focused view on using geospatial technology for sustainable development.
