Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJérôme Lebel is a seasoned software engineer with 13 years of professional experience based in Paris, currently building systems at Google since 2015. His career spans platform and client engineering across Apple, Fotonauts, and OpenBase, with deep roots in macOS, iOS, C++, Objective-C and sync/interop technologies. He has shipped sync engines, QuickLook caching, cross-platform clients, and integrations with major web services, demonstrating a knack for bridging native apps with web APIs. Comfortable across low-level system work and higher-level web stacks (Ruby on Rails), he also created tooling to translate Objective-C into C and RAD developer tools early in his career. Notably, he has a track record of integrating third-party services (Dropbox, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter) into constrained mobile clients long before platform-level support was widespread. Trained as an ingénieur in computer science, Jérôme combines pragmatic engineering with a history of solving interoperability and tooling challenges.
